Many people have asked if credit and/or degrees from Andersonville Theological Seminary transfer to any accredited schools.  I can answer that question in two different ways:  through word of mouth and personal experience.

Note:  Be sure to check with individual schools before making your own college choice.  This information is meant to be informative, but in today’s litiguous society, unfortunately, people file lawsuits for everything.  You are responsible for your own decisions.  Check with colleges before you make your decision!

Through word of mouth, I’ve heard that APEX University and Lancaster Bible College have accepted credits from ATS, and Lipscomb University, Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Liberty University, and Lindowood University have accepted Andersonville degrees for entrance into various programs.  I believe these schools are all accredited, but I’m not positive.

Through personal experience, I know that Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary not only accepted my Bachelor of Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary, but some of my classes counted towards the completion of my Master of Divinity from Liberty.  The following classes from ATS transferred to Liberty:

BSHS 3500 (Life of Christ)= NBST 521

MNPM 3120 (Homiletics)= HOMI 501

OTBB 3208 (Survey of Leviticus)= OBST 591

BSTH 5010 (Bible Doctrines)= THEO 510

THEO 6630 (Doctrine of Sin)= THEO 6XX

It’s important to note that Liberty’s acceptance of credits is on a case by case basis.

    To whom it may concern:

I am interested in attending your school through correspondence course. Can you please send me the necessary information so I may begin the process? Thank you.

Well…I have two degrees from Andersonville. I applied to Luther Rice University’s DMin program and they were willing to use my Andersonville degrees to meet the prerequisites, along with my secular MA from a regionally accredited school. Yet, Trinity Theological Seminary, which isn’t accredited, wouldn’t accept them at all.
